JELLY CHURCH – SEPTEMBER 2024

After our summer break in August, Jelly Church returned to its normal allotted time of 3.30pm on the second Sunday of the month on the 8th of September
14 Children turned up plus 3 babies (it’s never too early to join in) together with their parents.
As usual our session started with a tea which this month consisted of sandwiches with 3 different fillings available, cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, crisps, cakes, a drink and of course a bowl of JELLY
Father Mark joined us both to help and to interact with the children and the parents present.
After eating we commenced with our craft which this month entailed painting and decorating mini wooden bird boxes. Several of the parents helped and some even painted a bird box for themselves.
Having finished the painting Father Mark led the children (and the adults) in a song requiring actions, which everyone enjoyed and followed this up with a closing prayer.
Many thanks to the parents who helped with the tidying up including cleaning the tables and dismantling them and then putting them back in the store room. It’s a BIG THANK YOU from the Jelly Church Crew.
The children took their bird boxes home with them to hang up at home or even in their gardens. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon.
Next Month our Jelly Church will be held on the 13th October.
