Every July we have the Jelly Church summer barbecue. This year the weather was perfect so we had lots of games outside like football, bat and ball, knocking tins down with beanbags and bubbles to make and blow. Inside the church were lots of balloons to play with.
There were at least 27 children, some new, some regulars, some with their Mums and some with their Dads. Everyone had choice of a sausage in a roll or a burger in a bun, a drink and choc ice or sweets.
Reverend Mark was not able to be with us on this occasion as he was at Bicker Church blessing the ploughs for their ‘Plough Sunday’.
The afternoon went well and everyone had a good time.
No Jelly Church in August but see you all again in September – Sunday 14th when the craft will be making scarecrows.
