18 Children attended, and this month we began our session with the craft.
This Months Craft was to make a Valentine Card and each child was given a plastic bag which contained a blank card, an envelope, a sticker saying ‘BE MY VALENTINE’, 3 red hearts of different sizes. The Card had a Red inner sheet for the children to write in.
Each of the parts in the bag used to decorate, had sticky backs so that the children could place their decorations anywhere they chose. Apart from the main decorations there were additional small sticky backed hearts and hearts with glitter or a small shiny stones attached.
After the Cards were finished and the children had written who they wanted to receive the card inside, we all sat down to our Jelly Church Tea which this month consisted of Pizza, Sausage Rolls, Cocktail size sausages, Crisps, Cakes, a Drink and of course our customary bowl of Jelly plus some popcorn.
The parents enjoyed a cup of Tea or Coffee.
Father Mark then played a song which the children joined in, and prior to departing with their Valentine Cards a prayer was said
Our next Jelly Church will be on the 9th March 2025 in the Church at 3.30pm and as Mothering Sunday falls at the end of March the children will be making Mothers Day Cards with the help of Amy
