On a warm, sunny afternoon 14 children turned up with their parents.
The children sat down to a tea which consisted of Pizza, Sausage Rolls, Cocktail Sausages, Crisps and of course the mandatory Jelly. This was followed by a drink and a small decorated cake. Parents also had some food and drinks
The Reverend Sudharshan came and spoke with the children and the parents.
The craft this month was to stick a cup cake case to a flower shaped cut out which when finished looked like a daffodil. Mrs. Sarvananthan (the wife of the Reverend Sudharshan) who had come for a visit, helped the children with the craft.
When the children had finished their flower craft, they then went on to decorate and sign a Thank You card. These cards were for Susanna’s Hair Studio who had raised a substantial sum of money and given it to the Jelly Church last month.
The Reverend Sudharshan then sat the children in the pews and spoke to them before finishing with a prayer.
Prior to going home the cards were gathered up and the Reverend Sudharshan presented them to Anna, owner of the Hair Salon. The flower cases were then filled with mini chocolate eggs for the children to take home.
Another good JELLY CHURCH
Next Months Jelly Church will be held on Sunday 12th May from 3.30pm where our craft will be painting a pebble and attaching some wobbly eyes. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 12th May.
