Jelly Church children and their Mums and Dads had a great afternoon recently at the Jelly Church Teddy Bears’ Picnic, here at St Mary’s Church, Sutterton in Lincolnshire.
After tea [and jelly] and games, the brave bears [and some other animals] were put into carriers and sent up to the tower where Father Charlie was waiting to assist them to abseil back down the tower to the ground to be reclaimed by their relieved, but proud, owners.
All abseilers received a sticker saying ‘I jumped off the tower‘.
August 2017 – the next Jelly Church at Sutterton
The next Jelly Church in August will be the annual barbecue with the usual fun and games.
Any children and their Mums and Dads, Granny and Granddads etc will be very welcome.
